Strange how MIchail ‘HOVIS’ Antonio hasn’t really kicked on since Bilic ruined his career by playing him at right back, which coincidentally was the best period he’s had for us.
Must be proper scarred by that experience, given he’s been absolute fucking DOG for us since we moved.

He's been poor since the hamstring problem. Just not got the burst of acceleration and also can't get off the ground to win headers anymore when he was once a massive threat in the air. Looks slow, tired and clumsy.
Missed a gift of a chance today. Shame as he was unpredictable and unplayable at times.

On picking a player that can only last about 45 mins is beyond me.

Don't think I've seen so much of a deterioration in a player his heading ability is now almost non existent he's either carrying an injury or more importantly carrying an ego.
Maybe he regrets extending his contract.
I was once one of his biggest fans but now I think he's a bit of a liability.

I thought he had an excellent game against Chelsea the other week although like a lot of the players has been inconsistent. It can’ t help him that he has had a lot of muscle injuries in the last six months.

Agreed. The difference is that against Chelsea he led the line, now he seems to be floating behind Arnautovic. I don't know if it's fitness-related, but I think he needs to go back to that role.

Was very poor today. Looks immobile and low on confidence. Hasn’t been right for a while now. Not sure why he came back out for the second half.
However to suggest he has been useless since the move is absolutely laughable. We’d have been fucked without his contribution last season.

I warned on here a number of times that Bilic's bone headed persistence in experimenting with Antonio at RB for so long, when it was clear he couldn't defend, could well result in damaging what was a raw but genuine talent. Well it looks to me as though that's what's happened.
Antonio has lost his innocent exuberence which carried him through so many games and now looks unfit and confused.
